1. HTS Ship Propulsion Motors
| NAICS: 335312,3366
| HTS (high temperature superconductor) ship propulsion motors offer high power density, high partial load efficiency, low noise, low synchronous reactance, harmonic-free voltages, cyclic load insensitivity, mechanical compatibility, and significantly reduced maintenance. |
2. HTS Ship Propulsion Generators
| NAICS: 335312,3366
| HTS (high temperature superconductor)generators are expected to be about half (1/2) the size and weight of a conventional machine. These generators have a low synchronous reactance that results in operation at very small load angles.
Operation at a small load angle provides greater stiffness during transient and hunting oscillations. HTS generators have 1/2 to 2/3 the losses of a conventional generator and retain high efficiency down to 5% of the rated load. The cryogenic cooling system power consumption is less than a few percent of the total losses in the machine.

| 3. HTS Degaussing Systems |
| NAICS: 335929,3366
| HTS (high temperature superconductor)Degaussing Systems are a vital defense for military vessels at sea. Constructed principally of steel, modern military ships disturb the earth's natural magnetic fields disturbances that sensors and weapons such as naval mines can detect.
Running the length of a ship, degaussing coils counteract the vessels inherent magnetic field. As a result, the ship is magnetically invisible. HTS degaussing systems reduces ship relative to conventional copper systems. Simply put, degaussing coils are indispensable to the security of military ships and their personnel. |
| 4. Wind Turbine Generators |
| NAICS: 335312,423830
| Wind Turbine Generators utilizing HTS (high temperature superconductor) technology.
With the ability to produce 10 MW of power or more, the SeaTitan is expected to be the worlds most powerful wind turbine. This wind turbine is being developed by AMSC Windtec®.
Each SeaTitan will contain a generator utilizing high temperature superconductor (HTS) rotors rather than copper. This enables the generator to be much smaller, lighter, more efficient and less expensive than conventional large-scale wind turbine generators. In addition, since SeaTitan generators are direct drive, there is no need for a gearbox, which tends to be the most maintenance intensive wind turbine component. |
